TMC-Cong clash at Kolkata college, cop killed

Violence broke out in Harimohan Ghosh College in Kolkata on Tuesday in which one policeman, a sub-inspector, was killed. Reports say bullets were fired at the policeman outside the college campus as the violence escalated in a clash between the Trinamool Congress and the Congress. The violence took place between NSUI, the students' wing of Congress and Trinamool Chhatra Parishad, the students' wing of TMC when the student leaders gathered to file nominations for the upcoming Students Union election. The RAF has been deployed to control the situation.
