Darul Uloom Deoband has dismissed the use of term 'saffron terrorism'. The seminary spokesperson said terrorism was a crime against humanity and couldn't be seen through the lens of religion. While the statement stands in complete contrast with Union home minister Sushilkumar Shinde's comment, it has also provided an ammo to the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) which has already sought an unconditional apology from Shinde on the issue.
