'Not sure if Sonia, Rahul knew about Guru's hanging'

Minister of State for Home RPN Singh has reiterated that the hanging of Parliament attack convict Afzal Guru was not a political move.

In an interview to TV channel CNN-IBN, Singh said that the government had "responded decisively to terror".

When queried if Congress president Sonia Gandhi or vice president Rahul Gandhi were informed about Guru's execution, Singh said he was not sure.

On why the body of Guru was not allowed to be taken outside Tihar Jail, Singh said, "There were certain issues with that".

The Proteas batter played for RCB from 2011-21.

Justifying his arrest, the ED said Kejriwal had been arrested bona fide and not for any mala fide or extraneous reasons.
