Vicky Nanjappa reports that the Intelligence Bureau and the Military Intelligence have advised all police stations across the country to remain on high alert.

A general advisory warning of trouble in the wake of the Afzal Guru hanging has been issued. The advisory states warns of possible infiltration in the border areas, especially in the Kashmir valley.

The MI report states that there are chances of problems erupting in Kashmir and the situation could worsen in case the militants join.

The Intelligence Bureau has advised all police chiefs to step up law and order and ensure that security is high. Terrorist groups and pro-Afzal Guru supporters may try and disrupt law and order, the IB alert states.
