Geelani, Mirwaiz under house arrest in Delhi

Hurriyat leaders Mirwaiz Umer Farooq and Syed Ali Shah Geelani have been placed under house arrest in Delhi.

The house arrests took place in the wake of the hanging of Parliament attack convict Afzal Guru in Tihar Jail on Saturday morning.

The Hurriyat Conference, led by Geelani and Mirwaiz, has strongly condemned the hanging of Guru.

A curfew has been imposed across Kashmir.
