Tunisia ruling party rejects new government plan

The Islamist party dominating Tunisia's ruling coalition on Thursday rejected its own prime minister's decision to replace the government, signaling that the crisis brought on by the assassination of a prominent opposition politician is far from over. 

With a large turnout expected Friday for the funeral of secularist political opposition leader Chokri Belaid and a general strike called by the main labor union, there are rising concerns of confrontations around the country.
