Sri Lanka Prez arrives at Bodh Gaya for pilgrimage

Sri Lankan President Mahindha Rajpaksa, accompanied by his wife Shiranthi Rajpaksa and a 70-member delegation, today arrived at the Mahabodhi temple in Bodh Gaya for pilgrimage. Rajpaksa was received at the Gaya International Airport by Chief Minister Nitish Kumar.

Meanwhile, in Tamil Nadu, DMK chief M Karunanidhi today led a state-wide protest against Rajapaksa's visit to India, accusing him of making efforts to "annihilate" the Tamils in the island republic.
