Jeet Thayil last month at the Jaipur Literature Festival became the first Indian to win the DSC Prize for South Asian Literature for his debut novel "Narcopolis.' The book, which was also shortlisted for the Man Booker Prize, is primarily set in 1970s Bombay, where it delves into the world of drugs. Read the interview on the WSJ
