I feel like I'm home when I come to Amethi: Rahul

Rahul Gandhi, who made his first public appearance in his parliamentary constituency Amethi today after becoming the vice-president of the Congress Party, said that the youth of the country need to be employed properly.
 
Gandhi said he was aware of the fact that the youth in Amethi have a lot of problems. "There is lack of employment opportunities. And in particular, the development that should take place in Uttar Pradesh is not there and the youth here are given enough employment opportunities. The Government in Delhi (UPA Government) is yours and it is our endeavour to take this nation forward," he added, while hitting out at the Akhilesh Yadav-led Samajwadi Party (SP) Government in Uttar Pradesh.
 
Addressing the gathering here amid slogans of ''yuvaon ne thana hai, Rahul ko PM banana hai'' (Youth have resolved to make Rahul the Prime Minister), Gandhi said the progress and development of the people of Uttar Pradesh and in particular those of Amethi is there is his heart and mind.
 
" I have to travel in the whole country, but when I come to Amethi it feels like I have come home. Amethi is my family and home. So, I feel extremely delighted when I come here. I know the youth here have a lot of problems," he added.
