Modi: Nation awaits good governance (nudge nudge)
February 06, 2013  16:24
"Gujarat was at the forefront of India's freedom struggle and now it is being lauded for its development plan and good governance," says Modi. "The nation awaits good governance. The same laws, the same rules and regulations, the same Constitution, yet Gujarat has moved forward. I want to use Gujarat as an example of how it is possible to progress with the same parameters."

Modi uses the half-empty, half-full glass of water as an analogy to explain that he is hopeful for India's future. "For me the glass is not half full, it full. Half with water, half with air," he says. The audience buys his sales pitch with a huge round of applause.

"The population of China is old, the population of Europe is old, India on the other is a young nation, but sadly we have not been able to channelise this resource," he says addressing an audience of students.
