December 27, 2013  11:38
Delhi's CM designate Arvind Kejriwal and AAP MLAs will be taking the metro to the swearing-in ceremony at Ramlila Maidan tomorrow.

Kejriwal, who is set to become the Delhi chief minister, has refused to shift to a government bungalow in line with his resolve to end the VIP culture.

Sources said Kejriwal has already rejected a request to move to a government bungalow after he becomes chief minister.

He is likely to move to a flat somewhere near the Delhi secretariat at I P Estate in Central Delhi.

The ministers in Kejriwal's cabinet may also not accept government bungalows entitled to them and are likely to prefer to stay in government flats following their leader's footstep.

The Delhi government ministers are entitled to Type 6 or Type 7 bungalows having three-bedrooms. Sheila Dikshit has been staying at a Type 8 bungalow on 3 Motilal Nehru Marg in Lutyens Delhi since 2003.

Kejriwal has already vowed to end the VIP culture like having cars fitted with red beacons.
