India, Pakistan DGMOs agree to maintain LoC ceasefire

Takeaways from the DGMO meet at Wagah today:

1. India and Pakistan have agreed to re-energise the existing mechanisms to maintain the ceasefire on the LoC.

2. Meeting was cordial, constructive and fruitful.

3. Discussed the ceasefire along the Line of Control (LoC) and the existing mechanisms

4. It was decided to ensure ceasefire and strengthen the existing mechanisms.

5. Two flag meetings between brigade commanders will be held on the LoC in the near furture to ensure peace and tranquillity.

6. The DGMOs decided to make their hotline contact "more effective and result-oriented".

7. They have decided to inform each other of inadvertent crossing of the LoC by any civilian to ensure his early return.
