Jayanthi Natarajan quits from Cabinet as environment minister

Environment Minister Jayanthi Natarajan has resigned from the Cabinet. Her resignation has been accepted by the President.

Oil Minister Veerappa Moily takes additional charge of the environment ministry.

Natarajan is expected to play a bigger role in the Congress party ahead of the 2014 Lok Sabha elections
