UN base with Indian soldiers attacked in South Sudan

Over 40 Indian peacekeepers were present at a United Nations base that was attacked by unknown assailants today in South Sudan's troubled Jonglei State, the world body said. 

The United States has deployed 45 troops to protect US personnel and assets in South Sudan, amid intensifying fighting between rebels and government forces, the White House said.
