1942: A love story
December 20, 2013  12:48
A British photographer working for the Times of India in Bombay in independence India falls in love with a woman, and naturally shoots very personal portraits of her. When Second World War breaks out, however, he leaves India for safety, to England, where he marries someone else.
The object of his love too leaves India, but for New Zealand.

Years later, the photographer's grandson comes across a stash of the sepia-tinted photographs after the grandfather dies, discovers the first love, comes down to India, traces the lover to New Zealand where she lives in a home for the elderly, and sends her a photograph from the past. Her reaction: 'Is he here?'
