Faces of Nehru, Patel, JP covered inside Parliament!

Our Correspondent in New Delhi: The faces of life size statues of Jawaharlal Nehru, Sardar Vallabhai Patel, Jayaprakash Narain and Maulana Abul Kalam inside the Parliament Azad were seen covered on Monday.

The Lok Sabha secretariat organised a function on Monday in Cenral Hall to award the Best Parliamentarians by President of India. However, the contractors who put up the pandal did not realise that the faces of gigantic leaders of Indian democracy would be covered up.

"What a shame to our national leaders,' a BJP MP remarked as he was on way from Main Gate 1 to the Central Hall of Parliament. In fact few Congress and BJP MPs were to raise this in Zero Hour of Parliament -- but the function was cancelled due to the death of Union minister Ola and the Lok Sabha was adjourned as a mark of respect.
