Telangana Bill reaches Hyderabad

A correspondent in Delhi reports: The Telangana Bill has been handed over to the chief secretary of Andhra Pradesh.

President Pranab Mukherjee has indicated that January 23, 2014, is the cut-off date for AP assembly to give its view on the Bill.

Suresh Kumar, joint secretary at the Union home ministry, is carrying the presidential communique to Hyderabad. He had an hour-long meeting with Governor E S L Narasimhan today.
