Pakistan Punjab CM Shahbaz Sharif meets PM, takes metro ride

Pakistan Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif on Thursday met Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and visited Delhi Metro's busiest Rajiv Chowk station.

Shahbaz, the younger brother of Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, arrived here this morning on the invitation of his Punjab counterpart in India, Parkash Singh Badal.

India and Pakistan can combat poverty if both the sides resolve their differences, said Shahbaz after meeting the PM.

Later, Shahbaz, who launched a Metro Bus Service project in Lahore, also visited the Patel Chowk Metro station.

After taking the metro ride, Shahbaz said he had a great time and said Delhi Metro was of great benefit to travellers.
