Naz Foundation to seek review of SC verdict on gay sex
December 11, 2013  22:11
Naz Foundation, a NGO, today said it will file a review petition in the Supreme Court for re-examination of the verdict which declared the penal provision prohibiting gay sex among consenting adults as valid.

"We are disappointed with the judgement. We think the judgement is not correct in law. We will take appropriate legal recourse," senior advocate Anand Grover, who argued the case for the NGO Naz Foundation, said after the verdict was pronounced.

"We will file a review petition against today's verdict," he said, adding if the need arose "we will also go for curative petition and we have got a very good case on constitutional principle".
