Digvijay Singh's effigies burnt to oppose his visit to Andhra

All India Congress Committee General Secretary and in-charge of party affairs for Andhra Pradesh, Digvijaya Singh's visit to Hyderabad on Thursday, was opposed today by Andhra Pradesh state government employees supporting a "united" state.

"Digvijaya Singh is coming here to put politics on the wrong track. He need not come here. Even if he puts pressure on politicians (for not supporting a united Andhra Pradesh), we will intensify protests," Andhra Pradesh Non-Gazetted Officers' Association leader P Ashok Babu told reporters.
