Former Mysore king Srikantadatta Wodeyar dies

News comes in that Srikantadatta Narasimharaja Wodeyar, who is head of the former royal family of Mysore has died of a heart attack in Bangalore today. He was brought to the Vikram Hospital this morning after he had complained of chest pain.

He was 60.

He is the son of the late Maharaja Jayachamarajendra Wodeyar, and was a former MP and had represented the Mysore Parliamentary Constituency as a Congressman.
