With the trend of Rajasthan assembly polls predicting a landslide victory for the BJP, the party's chief ministerial candidate Vasundhara Raje Scindia, claimed that she was always confident of winning.

"I had full faith in my people," Raje said in her first reaction on spectacular results in the state (BJP 139 vs Cong 36).

It has also been reported that Raje was holding a two-hour-long special prayer at the Tripura Sundari Temple in Banswara district when she got the news that her party was ahead.

Later, wearing the party colours -- a saffron chiffon sari, she reached Jhalawar and spoke to reporters.

"I had thought that we would reach 120-125, but it is going to be more than that. During the Suraj Sankalp Yatra, the mood against the state government was quite evident."

When asked that whether she considers it a semi-final for the 2014 Lok Sabha polls, she said, "Yes, I accept that it was semi-final and it will only help us in Lok Sabha elections."

However, instead of giving the full credit to BJP's Prime Ministerial candidate Narendra Modi for their victory, she maintained that it was the joint effort of all senior members including party president Rajnath Singh.

In the Jhalarapatan seat from where Raje is contesting, she is leading with over 17,000 votes after round six.

It is expected that she will be leaving for Delhi sometime this evening to have a closed-door meeting with senior party leaders. Narendra Modi is also expected in the capital today.
