Winter session begins today; Oppn to push for Telangana Bill

The winter session of Parliament will be a stormy one, with the Bharatiya Janata Party making it clear at an all-party meeting yesterday that it will attack the government on a number of issues.

The BJP-led National Democratic Alliance said it will strongly demand that the Telangana Bill be brought in the winter session and press for debates on issueslike internal security, violence against women and subversion of constitutional bodies like JPC on 2G scam.

The government plans to push bills like the Lokpal Bill and Women's Reservation Bill which have been passed by one House and now await the other House's nod.
