SC: Won't take action against AK Ganguly as he has retired
December 05, 2013  18:25
The Supreme Court appointed panel that probed the alleged incident of sexual harassment of a law intern by recently retired judge AK Ganguly has said that the court will take no action against him.

The panel said the complainant's statement prima facie discloses an act of unwelcome behaviour by Ganguly and while the SC says it has scrutinised the statement of the law intern, it has no jurisdiction on either Ganguly or the intern.

The SC said the judge had retired and the law intern was not on the rolls of the SC, therefore no action would be taken on the judge.
