Congress candidate booked, BSP workers arrested with liquor

Two BSP workers have been arrested for allegedly trying to lure voters by distributing liquor in Alipur area of north-west Delhi, while Congress candidate Sushil Kumar Gupta has been booked on charges of holding an illegal political meeting at a banquet hall, yesterday.

Congress MLA from Kondli, Amrish Singh Gautam, has also come under the scanner as his photographs were found pasted on the doors of one Malohtra Properties Office, from where four cartons of liquor were seized by a team of flying squad teams at Kichripur yesterday.

"No direct link has been established with Gautam's picture and the carton of liquors seized. Investigation in the matter is on," said Ankur Garg, Chief Nodal Officer, Model code of Conduct.

The two BSP workers are identified as Lait and Pramod.They were allegedly caught in action by a patrolling team of police yesterday.
