LIVE! AK Ganguly: Undecided on stepping down from Human Rights Body
December 03, 2013  15:39
A raging debate has begun over whether retired Supreme Court Judge AK Ganguly should step down as the head of the West Bengal Human Rights Commission following the sexual harassment charges made by a law intern against him.

Ganguly himself says the time has not come to think about stepping down and said he was undecided about quitting the Commission.

The opinion remains divided on the issue across parties and law experts. After the Trinamool Congress, senior BJP leader Sushma Swaraj, too, on Monday called for his resignation. "I strongly feel that Justice AK Ganguly should resign as Chairman of WB Human Rights Commission," she had tweeted.
