Disappointment key emotion in Parliament today
August 29, 2013  17:57
The Central Hall of Parliament was a beehive of activity today. Several union ministers wanted to be in the presence of Dr Manmohan Singh in the Lok Sabha when the UPA was introducing the
Land Bill. But the PM had roster duty in the Rajya Sabha, so most MPs had to remain dissatisfied.

Another disappointment for MPs was the absence of UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi in Parliament today. Gandhi is recuperating after she felt unwell in Parliament two days ago, even as the Food Bill was being put to vote. The Land Bill was tabled and debated in Parliament today. Voting is expected to take place at 8 pm.
