Charges of sex abuse against Asaram correct: Police

After an initial probe, Rajasthan police have found that the allegations of sexual abuse, made against self-proclaimed godman Asaram Bapu by a 16-year-old girl, are correct.

Police officials also stated that if Asaram failed to respond to the summons issued to him by August 30, he will be arrested.

Meanwhile, an unfazed Asamram reportedly bragged about his closeness to Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot, saying, "He knows me. He has come to visit me several times".

While reacting to the incident earlier, Gehlot had stated, "The law will take its own course".
