The suspension of IAS officer Durga Shakti Nagpal, which had triggered nation-wide outrage, may soon be revoked.

According to media reports, the Uttar Pradesh government has decided to revoke Nagpal's suspension.

Nagpal was suspended by the UP government on July 27 allegedly for taking on the sand mining mafia operating in Gautam Buddh Nagar district, where she was posted as a sub-divisional magistrate.

The state government had claimed that Nagpal had been suspended as she had ordered the demolition of a wall of a local mosque.
