The Cabinet Committee on Investment clears 18 power projects worth Rs 183,000 crore, says finance minister P Chidambaram. Banks have already disbursed Rs 30,000 crore to the 18 power projects cleared by the CCI, apart from nine other infrastructure projects involving an investment of Rs 92,541 crore. Fuel supply agreements for 18 power projects will be signed by September 6.
