Shopian: One jawan killed in militant strike on NC leader's convoy

Mukhtar Ahmad reports from Srinagar: One paramilitary Central Reserve Police Force trooper was killed and another wounded in a militant ambush in south Kashmir's Shopian district this evening.

A senior police officer said militants fired at the escort party of ruling National Conference MLC Showkat Ahmad Ganai at village Awneera in Shopian district this evening. More details soon.
