Army jawan injured in grenade explosion in Shopian, J-K

An army trooper was injured in an explosion in south Kashmir's Shopian town this afternoon. A senior police officer said militants hurled a grenade at an army patrol in Imam Sahib in Shopian, which exploded injuring the army trooper. "The injured jawan was hospitalised," he said. The area was later searched by the security forces. -- Mukhtar Ahmad in Srinagar.
