100 tonnes of explosives seized in Quetta

Pakistan's paramilitary forces today foiled a major terror plot by seizing nearly 100 tonnes of explosives material and arresting 10 militants in the capital of troubled southwestern Balochistan province. 

"The explosives material weighing nearly 100 tonnes was seized from a warehouse in the New Addah area of the city," Frontier Corps Commandant Col Maqbool told reporters in Quetta, the capital of Balochistan.

Maqbool said the explosive material include potassium chloride, aluminum chloride, improvised explosive devices, detonators, circuit wires and other arms and ammunition during the operation. 

He said the forces have arrested 10 suspected militants during the operation that lasted for more than an hour.
