Emergency all-party meet tomorrow
August 12, 2013  16:10
With it's legislative agenda getting derailed, the UPA government has convened an all-party tomorrow morning to discuss pending bills.

The Lok Sabha was set to debate the Food Security Bill today, which was tabled last week, but the house was adjourned following opposition protests over the violence in Kishtwar.

The UPA government is particular on pushing this bill through the house as it believes it can pay rich political dividends in Lok Sabha polls. The Centre is also interested in getting the Land Acquisition bill passed in this session. The ongoing session closes on August 30. -- Anita Katyal in New Delhi
