Defence minister AK Antony's second statement in the Rajya Sabha today. After refusing to react to the BJP's demands that Antony clarify his statement on the LoC killings yesterday, the defence minister now says, "As a defence minister, I have to be careful about what I say.  I have to investigate all the facts in detail. The Army chief is in Jammu. He will brief me and I will pass on the details to you. We have made the statement on the basis of whatever information was available to us, we will share more information as and when we get it and I will brief the Parliament on it.

"The nation is one, Parliament is one. There will be no comporomise," said Antony.

BJP leader Venkaiah Naidu asks how can the government make two statements on one day, referring to yesterday's statements by the army and MoD.

Ravi Shankar Prasad chimes in, "Does this mean that what the defence minister said yesterday was incorrect? Why does he wait for more information from the Army chief?"
