MoS Home RPN Singh says such ceasefire violations are most unfortunate. It will hit relations between India and Pakistan.

National Conference chief Farooq Abdullah says that the incident affects normalisaton of relations between India and Pakistan.

In Parliament, BJP senior leader Arun Jaitley says defence, foreign policy relations, are going to be affected with the ceasefire violations. The opposition wants answers from the defence minister foreign minister and the prime minsiter. 

Dr Hamid Ansari beseeches the house not to disrupt proceedings. "We have said that Defence minister AK Antony will make a statement in the House. The honourable minsites are expected to remain in the house till such time that the house is functioning."

Dr Ansari wants to move on to the Question Hour. But amid the uproar, he is forced to adjourn the house.
