The suspension of Uttar Pradesh IAS officer Durga Shakti Nagpal and the economic downslide are likely to dominate the proceedings in Parliament today, provided it is allowed to function. The Rajya Sabha has been adjourned till 2 pm.

The Congress-led UPA wants to push through the Food Security Bill, but the Samajwadi Party may put a spanner in the works since the two parties are now at loggerheads over the suspension of IAS officer Durga Shakti Nagpal.
