Kanimozhi assumes new role as DMK chief in RS

DMK's Rajya Sabha MP Kanimozhi has assumed a new role of of the leader of her party in the upper house. Last week, DMK chief N Karunanidhi wrote to the Rajya Sabha chairman Hamid Ansari nominating his daughter as Leader of the DMK in the RS.

Kanimozhi attended the first meeting of the Rajya Sabha Business Advisory Committee today. While she has been elevated to a national status, remember she is only out on bail in the 2G case. She has not been acquitted.
