Shinde undergoes surgery at Mumbai hospital

Union Home Minister Sushil Kumar Shinde today underwent a surgery for a lung ailment at a hospital in Mumbai.

The 71-year-old Congress leader was admitted to the Breach Candy hospital last night, sources close to him told PTI. Details of his ailment were not immediately known, but the sources said he would be discharged in a day or two.

"Shinde would be attending the monsoon session of Parliament," they said.
