Sujata Singh takes charge as foreign secretary

Sujatha Singh takes charge as the new Foreign Secretary of India. The 1976 batch Indian Foreign Service officer will have a fixed tenure of two years. Singh, 59, was earlier ambassador to Germany. She succeeds Ranjan Mathai. Her visit will be to Bhutan.
