Sushma Swaraj sets the tone, fires up opposition

Sushma Swaraj says this is the most corrupt government since Independence. "The government has been breaking its own record on corruption. The government is trying to save the prime minister and its ministers. We are being called irresponsible for raising the corruption issue. We will stage a walkout. The government has no right to continue in power," says Swaraj. The BJP walks out of the House but says it will not oppose the bill.

Parliamentary Affairs minister Kamal Nath says the opposition only wants to debate outside the house. "We have nothing to hide, we are ready for a debate," he says.
