April 26, 2013  22:09
Doctors affiliated to the Maharashtra Association of Resident Doctors today called off their strike after the state government promised to fulfill its assurances to the body.

While the resident doctors at state-run hospitals ended the strike earlier in the day, those at municipal hospital ended it today evening.

The Bombay high court had asked striking doctors to call off the agitation and the government had last night invoked the Maharashtra Essential Services Maintenance Act.
