Italy crushed: NIA WILL investigate marines' case

The Supreme Court has ruled that the National Investigation Agency will go ahead with investigations in the Italian marines case. The day-to-day proceedings will be conducted by a special court against the two, accused of killing Indian fishermen. Italy had questioned the jurisdiction of the NIA to probe the case against its two marines - Massimiliano Lattore and Salvatore Girone - a contention rejected by the government which had on the last hearing assured the court that the investigation will be completed within 60 days.
