Coalgate: PM to chair Congress Core Group meeting

The Congress Core Group will meet at Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh''s official 7, Race Course Road (RCR) residence here this evening, and is likely to discuss the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) affidavit in the Supreme Court on the coal blocks allocation issue.

According to reports, the meeting that is to be attended by the top brass of the Congress Party is likely to take place at 6 pm. The CBI earlier in the day filed an affidavit before the Supreme Court on its probe into the coal block allocations.
