Ceiling collapse in surgical ward, 1 child trapped

The Kasturba Gandhi hospital is run by Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited. There were two wards that were functioning, but not packed to capacity. The building is about 60 years old. One of the 20 people trapped inside the building, is believed to be a child, who is thankfully, alive. Some of the patients who were rescued have been evacuated to other hospitals. Early reports say that the ceiling of the surgical ward has collapsed at 5.30 pm.
