Sonia Gandhi was seen walking up and down Central Hall at least three times between 11 am and 1 pm. She attended Lok Sabha, then she walked over to the Prime Minister's chamber for the Congress Core Committee meeting. Consequently, Congress MPs had a tough time repeatedly standing up and sitting down whenever she crossed their path.

And then, there was BJP senior leader Ravi Shankar Prasad talking to Praful Patel in the Central Hall for more than 30 minutes. Many BSP MPs wanted to meet Patel, but stayed away. Suddenly, Congress spokesperson Rajiv Sukhla broke in and dragged Ravi Shanker Prasad away from Praful Patel.

MPs pointed out that that Patel was a "natural ally" as Rajiv Shukla is Ravi Shankar Prasad's brother-in-law.
