Opposition unifies in Parl: Delhi top cop must go

BSP leader Mayawati and the opposition unified in Parliament to say that the government must rise above politics and ensure heinous crimes like the rape of a five-year-old girl does not take place again. Mayawati and CPI (M) Politburo member Brinda Karat said that the death sentence must be awarded in these cases. Karat said that she strongly believes that police commissioner Neeraj Kumar must resign. "If the police commissioner takes responsibility it will send out a strong signal," she said.
