Boston marathon bombing: Dzhokhar Tsarnaev 'charged'
April 22, 2013  23:11

BBC: The surviving suspect in the Boston Marathon bombings has been charged in his hospital bed, US media reports. The complaint against Dzhokhar Tsarnaev was sealed, so details of the charges are not known, local channel WCVB said.

A White House spokesman said Mr Tsarnaev would not be treated as an "enemy combatant", as suggested by some Republican members of Congress. "We will prosecute this terrorist through our civilian system of justice," Jay Carney said.
