Anti-rape panel chief Justice Verma passes away

Justice Sharan Verma, who headed the anti-rape panel, passed away on Monday. He suffered from a multiple organ failure. In the aftermath of the Delhi gang rape, Justice Verma was appointed chairperson of a three member commission to suggest changes required in existing laws to provide better security to women in India.
