2G scam: JPC gives clean chit to PM, Chidambaram

The Joint Parliamentary Committee draft report gives clean chit to Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and Finance Minister P Chidambaram in 2G case, sources tell PTI.

The JPC draft report also contradicts loss figure of Rs 1.76 lakh crore as suggested by CAG, sources add. The JPC says then Telecom Minister A Raja changed cut-off date and modalities of Letter of Intent without notice which amounts to irregularities.

The JPC also says the first-come-first-served policy had the backing of TRAI.
